How many Cosmetic Grade Peel treatments are required for best results?

For best results we recommend getting 6 – 8 treatments. Each person’s treatment plan is personalized for their skin condition and requirements. Maintenance will vary for each person too.

What to expect during a chemical peel?

During a chemical peel, most people feel a tingling that lasts about five to ten minutes, followed by a tingling. Putting cool compresses on the skin may ease that stinging. You may need pain medication during or after a deeper peel.

Is this treatment safe for me during pregnancy?

Yes. This treatment is safe to receive whilst pregnant. However, please provide any relevant information regarding your pregnancy to your local clinic upon booking in case this treatment coincides with other services which use contraindicated topicals.

Is there downtime involved with Cosmetic Peels?

For light and medium peels, you’ll experience flaking and peeling skin for 4-7 days after your procedure. For a deep peel, you can expect to be recuperating for up to 2 weeks, with significant peeling as well as some swelling and redness.

What areas of the body can be treated with Cosmetic Grade Peels?

A chemical peel is performed in order to treat sun damage, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, scars, and pigment abnormalities. A chemical peel can be performed over the entire body with the exception of the genital region.


What is a Facial? And why do I need it?

A facial is one of the best ways to take care of your skin. A multi-step skin treatment, it cleanses, exfoliates, and nourishes the skin; promoting a clear, well-hydrated complexion that can help your skin look younger.

What to expect?

A facial treatment usually includes steaming, exfoliation, and extraction. Other providers will incorporate facial masks, peels, and facial massages. It essentially depends on the package you purchase and your provider.

What about home care?

Depending on your personal routine i.e. if you’re a morning shower or a night time shower person, putting your Cleanser and Exfoliator in the shower can really help keep on top of your routine and pop your moisturizer and eye cream next to your toothbrush.


What Is Microdermabrasion, and how will I benefit from it?

Microdermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure. It involves a skin care specialist removing the top layer of skin with a small hand-held device. Microdermabrasion can exfoliate the skin, reduce signs of aging, and make the skin appear more even. The procedure is safe for all skin types.

What to expect?

Microdermabrasion should just feel like a gritty face massage or minor tugging. If it’s uncomfortable, let your technician know. Afterward, you may have some tenderness, swelling, or minor bruising. Remember to wear sunscreen afterward to protect your new skin.


I have never been waxed before, how is it done?

For a good first experience, the hair should be at least 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch for best results. If you have coarse hair it should be closer to 1/2-inch for the first few waxes. Once the hair becomes finer it can be waxed at a shorter length. If your hair is longer, we recommend shaving the area and booking your waxing appointment for two to three weeks later.

What to expect?

Hairless skin. Also, everyone’s skin reacts differently to waxing treatments, but you can expect to have temporary redness and minor irritation for a day or two. Slight itchiness may be experienced as the hair grows out. Proper post-wax care will alleviate these symptoms quickly.

Does it hurt?

Everyone’s pain threshold is different, so what might be too much for some is barely noticeable for others.


What causes acne? How can skincare treatments help?

When oil, bacteria, dead skin, and dirt block your pores, you may develop pimples, or acne. Salicylic acid works to unclog pores and reduce inflammation. It’s ideal for blackheads and whiteheads but can also help pustules disappear quicker.

Who can benefit from acne treatment?

People of all races and ages have acne and can benefit from it.

What should I expect from my acne treatment?

If a treatment works for you, you should notice some improvement in 4 to 6 weeks. It can take two to three months or longer to see clearing. If you notice improvement, keep using the treatment.

What about home care?

To keep your pores from clogging and your skin from becoming too oily. Wash once or twice a day, and also after exercising. Avoid scrubbing or repeated skin washing. Shampoo your hair daily, if it is oily. Comb or pull your hair back to keep the hair out of your face.

Rosacea/Sensitive Skin

What is Rosacea?

Rosacea is a common disorder that most usually affects facial skin. It causes redness on the nose, chin, cheeks and forehead.

How is Rosacea treated?

While different product approaches work for different people, ultimately a regime of anti-inflammatory products is recommended to assist with reducing skin redness and inflammation.

What about homecare?

Oatmeal is a long-time home remedy for rosacea. It’s thought to strengthen skin and reduce water loss, which can worsen the condition. Oatmeal may also help itching.

Skin Needling

Will Skin Needling help with acne scarring and stretch marks?

Skin needling is most commonly used to treat acne scarring, but it can also be used to treat pores, stretch marks, pigmentation or sun damage.

What will my skin look like when I walk out of the clinic - will I need time off work?

While different product approaches work for different people, ultimately a regime of anti-inflammatory products is recommended to assist with reducing skin redness and inflammation. Your skin may feel warm and tight and look red for one to three days. During this period, use a delicate cleanser and moisturizer. It may take up to two to three days depending on the extent of the treatment. You are free to return to work or school immediately after treatment.

Is this treatment suitable during pregnancy?

Skin Needling is considered safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women as long as the Therapist is using shallow needles (less than 0.5mm).

Pigmentation Removal

How long will it take for me to see a result after my pigmentation treatments?

It works best for fairer skin. However, further hyperpigmentation as a result of the procedure can occur with all skin types. The new patches of hyperpigmentation may lighten after about eight weeks.

How many pigmentation treatments are required for best results?

Pigmentation concerns, such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, hyperpigmentation caused by sun damage, dark spots, melasma, freckles, and other skin discoloration, may require 3 or 4 treatments to correct. If your pigmentation concerns cover a larger area of skin or are severe, you may need more than 4 treatments.

Is there any downtime after the pigmentation treatment?

It requires no downtime and will not result in increased sensitivity to the sun. However, it requires more sessions, but you can expect to see improvement after each session.


What can I expect after treatment?

There is no downtime, you can return to your normal daily routine after treatment. Temporary numbness and redness may be experienced immediately following tightening and lifting treatments.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment is so quick, you can be in and out during your lunch break. A full-face treatment can take as little as 8 minutes. Body area treatments can take up to 15 minutes. Plus there is zero recovery time.

Led Light Therapy

How many LED Light Therapy treatments do I need for best results?

A course of 6-8 treatments are recommended for LED light therapy to improve your cellular function and be effective long term. A one off treatment will give you an instant glow and supercharge your skin treatment however results are accumulative and need to be performed once or ideally twice a week for optimal results.

How long does an LED treatment take?

The treatment usually lasts about 20 minutes.

Does LED Light Therapy treat existing scars?

It does not treat existing scars, however you may be assisted by our other treatments such as skin needling combined with LED treatments.

What are the ingredients of the Hydrojelly™ mask?

Can I have the Hydrojelly™ Mask Duo on its own (without other treatment)?

The hydro jelly mask is great paired up with a range of treatments and is great on its own too. We personally recommend pairing it with another treatment.

Can I buy the mask and do it myself at home?

Yes. The masks are also available to purchase for home use so you can pamper yourself any time. They are hydrating, reduce inflammation and feel amazing.


Is it safe for my skin?

The OxyGeneo treatment is known to be safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It is also suitable for people of all ages.

How many treatments will I need?

To treat skin issues such as sun damage or acne, once a week treatments are recommended. Scheduling an OxyGeneo treatment once a month to treat the skin is the perfect long term anti-aging maintenance program.

Does it hurt?

With the OxyGeneo Facial, your skin may experience temporary irritation, tightness, or redness. These are all normal reactions that typically resolve within 72 hours depending on skin sensitivity.

Most pigmentation treatments usually don’t involve any downtime; instead, they involve being vigilant about wearing sunscreen immediately after your procedure.


What are some body concerns?

There are many skin issues on your body like body acne, discoloration in patches covering certain areas, scarring, stretch marks and sagging (loose) skin.

What causes them?

The causes are different for every concern. For instance, body acne develops due to an oily substance called sebum that lubricates the hair and skin and dead skin cells start clogging hair follicles. Pigmentation or discolouration happens when certain areas of the skin turn darker than others. Stretch marks are the streaks that appear on the abdomen, hips and breasts while saggy skin is a result of collagen breakdown.
